Who are We?
Welcome to the Wildcubs, we are a non-profit junior volleyball club offering classes for all ages!
We started in 2018 when a parent living in Wapping got in touch with Head Coach Elsa Meserlian at the London Volleyball Association to ask for help finding a coach to start volleyball sessions for her daughters and their friends. At the time, coach Elsa was the Junior Development Officer in charge of growing junior volleyball in the whole of London. She agreed to help out the parent with the condition that they work together to find a coach that would grow the sport in the area. The word spread fast and in 2020 we found ourselves as a full fledged club offering volleyball to 30 members, and coach Elsa decided to continue coaching at the club and step down from her role at the LVA instead!
The passion from our players kept spreading every week, and we slowly started having too many! So in 2021 we hired our first full time coach and moved from running sessions twice a week to having a session every day of the week! Our casual players started to develop quickly, and became competitors in the Volleyball England National Grand Prix as well as the Junior Volleyball Association Grand Prix.
The good vibes of the club kept spreading and we ended the 2021/2022 season with 115 players and a junior volleyball team for U18, U16, U15 & U12 age categories. Whether you’re living in Wapping, Isle of Dogs, Greenwich, Blackheath or Kidbrooke, there is a junior volleyball club session near you.
Our club’s philosophy is to create a foundation for children to develop to the highest potential they want and are able to get to – going on their own individual journey. We coach volleyball in a unique environment that caters for every child’s needs and ambitions. We make sure to offer as much 1:1 attention because we know, good coaching is the recipe for success.
Our coaching styles are adaptable, giving focus for children with more drive to exceed in the sport they need, while offering a fun and inclusive environment to children looking for a healthy kick of exercise with their friends.

After School Clubs
Wildcubs facilitates after school activities in several primary schools around Tower Hamlets and the Isle of Dogs.
If your school is interested in having an after-school volleyball session, get in touch and we’ll organise one of our coaches to come down!
